Chur Fish and Chips

“The wife and I came across this delightful Fisn n Chip shop in Queenstown during our recent wedding anniversary getaway to NZ. The shop was located only about 200 metres away from the Kamana Lakeside hotel where we were staying at, just off Ferntree Hill Rd Queenstown. We liked it so much that we ordered Fish n Chips 2 times during our 3 day stay in Queenstown and enjoyed delicious crumbed Cod, Hoki, chips and potato cakes/scallops that we reasonably priced. We plan to return soon for some more delicious Fish n Chips on our next holiday in NZ. Highly recommended.”

“Excellent takeaway fish and chip shop in Fernhill. May have been the best blue cod burger I've ever had. Fresh, flaky, generously sized, and absolutely delicious! Recommend having the chips with the chur seasoning as the locals do. Thank you to the fellow who took my order and made my day with such a great meal. Enjoyed sitting outside at the picnic table. Highly recommend.”

“Ordered the Hoki & Blue Cod fish and chips for myself and my partner, and it was delicious! Great customer service from the legend who looked after us, making sure we had enough sauce and napkins, and even taking our rubbish for us. Keen to come back again next year!”

“We came here because it was highly recommended and also right next to a grocery store. The food is fantastic! Definitely worth a visit. Service is really fast too. Orders are done online, then you pay at the window when the order is ready.”

“Food for the soul! So glad to have finally tried Chur. We were both newbies and couldn’t have been more welcomed by the staff who were friendly and efficient. This is by best the best fish and chips I’ve had since being in NZ in the last 6 years. The fish was delicious but for me it was the cook on the chips! Like they are just like British ones, I couldn’t believe it. I had heard many people recommend them but lake Hayes to FernHill is quite the distance but 100% worth it. We will be back! For those who haven’t tried it yet run don’t walk! I suggest ordering online and collecting. Otherwise you can have a drink next door whilst you wait for your hot and delicious food. Bonus - They do Curry sauce and it’s epic!”
